There is a widely held belief that there is a conflict between college education and faith. In fact, some would say that the more students pursue higher education, the more likely they are prone to abandon their faith.
For many young people, college life marks the transition from adolescence to maturity. College is the time when the young leave the nest and spread their wings, intellectually, spiritually and socially. They learn new ideas and discover the truth about the world and themselves.
Students at Rutgers University turned this past Friday into “Black Friday.” Many of them wore black, mourning the tragic death of a university freshman who ended his life after being bullied by two other students.
